Munjal Shah, CEO of startup Hippocratic AI, will speak at the 3rd Annual West Coast Digital Healthcare Innovation Summit on February 6-7 in La Jolla, California. Shah will discuss the transformative potential of using generative artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare in his talk.
Shah co-founded Hippocratic AI in 2022 to develop large language models for non-diagnostic health applications such as patient education, chronic care management, and administrative assistance. The company was founded in 2022 by physicians, hospital administrators, Medicare experts, and AI researchers from organizations like El Camino Health, Johns Hopkins, and Google. Hippocratic AI has raised $67 million in funding from leading healthcare investors like General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz.
Before launching Hippocratic AI, Munjal Shah built several machine learning and computer vision startups that Google and Alibaba later acquired. He has made over 40 angel investments in startups and early-stage venture funds. Shah holds computer science degrees from UC San Diego and Stanford, with a focus on AI.
